De Wet Enviroscaping
The vision for this complete, professional enviroscaping service was developed by a man with a passion for plants and the great South African outdoors.
Andy De Wet founded the company in 1985 after graduating with a masters degree in botany, and working in a nursery as a manager for three years.
Andy is one of the pioneers in his field who brought to water feature building a reliability that previously was unavailable. A similar robustness applies to the other De Wet divisions subsequently formed.
De Wet Water Features was the first initiative and the company soon became a leader in this field. More and more clients asked Andy to landscape their gardens after seeing his water features; thus the landscaping division came into being.
A reliable source of top quality plants at affordable prices became the next important consideration for Andy. Necessity being the mother of invention, he soon decided to create his own nursery. Andy employed the services of a top nurseryman, Wayne Pyle, and their Central Nursery Depot in Linbro Park quickly established itself as the most reliable plant depot in Gauteng.
Fish and Koi ponds, as well as nature pools were a natural progression from water features and irrigation systems became important to the landscaping division.
